Access
Reaching Tiliqua sunrise is simple. Depending on how adventurous you are, choose the scenario that suits you best!
By plane :
- Catch a flight from Adelaide to Ceduna on Rex
- Hire a car from Ceduna Rent-a-car
- Drive one and a half hours through Streaky Bay, and enjoy your holiday!
By Car :
- Allow a day's journey from Adelaide
- Drive north-east through Port Wakefield to Port Augusta
- Continue West, take the turnoff to Iron Knob onto the Eyre Highway, and drive through Kimba and Wudinna
- If you want to remain on the bitumen as long as possible, continue to Streaky bay, then take the Sceale Bay\Point Labatt road
- The shortest route is a left turn after Pygery, through Port Kenny, then down the Calca road past Murphy's Haystacks and the Point Labatt road
By Car & Ferry :
- Allow a day's journey from Adelaide
- Drive north-east to Wallaroo and catch the ferry to Lucky Bar
- Drive across Eyre Peninsula through Cowell, Cleve and Lock until you reach the coast at Elliston
- Follow the coast north-east until you reach Port Kenny
- Soon after leaving town, turn left on the Calca road, past Murphy's Haystacks, and the Point Labatt turnoff
- You have reached your destination!
By Boat :
- Sail your boat into the Great Australian Bight and right into Searcy Bay.
- If you can land on a beach, do so 50 metres from the house.
- Otherwise, tie up at Sceale Bay and convince a local to drive you the 5km down the road to Tiliqua Sunrise
